On Saturday, February 8th from 10:00 a.m. -2:00 p.m., DEBORAH Heart and Lung Center will host its fourth annual Women’s Heart Month Health EXPO at The Enterprise Center at 3331 Route 38, Mt. Laurel, NJ.
In conjunction with the American Heart Association’s Wear Red Day – which raises awareness about the need to fight heart disease in women – DEBORAH is hosting a Women’s Health EXPO. Visitors to the EXPO will meet the staff of DEBORAH’s Women’s Heart Center and also the Joslin Diabetes Center Affiliate at Deborah. Health screenings provided by DEBORAH will include blood pressure, glucose, body fat analysis, pulmonary function testing and balance, with the first 200 visitors receiving cholesterol/lipid panel testing. Additionally, Medford Family Dental will provide Oral Cancer Screenings and Performance Health Chiropractor will offer MyoVision Scans.
DEBORAH’s Women’s EXPO has a wide range of wellness, health and fitness activities for women of all ages, including pampering massages and bodywork, relaxing yoga and meditation by Kula Kamala Foundation, and personalized workout plans by TrainerDiva. Burlington County College Culinary Arts Director Chef Elizabeth Dinice will be hosting several heart-healthy cooking demos. For those looking for some light shopping, dozens of health, beauty and fitness vendors will have a wide range of products for sale. Expo Wellness Provider Sano will do blowouts and makeovers and Shear Serenity will offer mini-manicures and facials. Radio station The New More-FM at 101.1 will be on hand from 10 am-noon and station NJ101.5 will be onsite from noon-2:00 p.m. Door prizes will be awarded throughout the day. Delicious healthy-menu snacks for the first 500 attendees will be provided by Expo Lead Sponsor Wawa Corporation, whose generous funding has helped make DEBORAH’s Women’s Heart Center possible. Additional EXPO sponsors are the Freed Foundation, Boston Scientific, and Johnson & Johnson.
