Deborah Heart and Lung Center Makes Cardiology Appointment

John R. Ernst, President and CEO of Deborah Heart and Lung Center has announced the appointment of Faisal Shamshad, M.D. of Princeton, NJ as Attending in the hospital’s cardiology department.

Prior to joining Deborah’s staff, Dr. Shamshad most recently held simultaneous appointments at South Miami Hospital and Fishermen’s Hospital (Marathon, FL) in the Division of Cardiology and Critical Care Medicine.

Dr. Shamshad earned his medical degree from the Aga Khan University Medical College (Karachi, Pakistan) and completed his residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (Newark). He completed a non-Invasive Cardiology fellowship at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, MA,

thereafter completing fellowships in Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami, FL.

In addition to Dr. Shamshad’s extensive medical experience, he holds board certifications in Cardiovascular Medicine, Internal Medicine, and Nuclear Cardiology. He is also a member of the American College of Cardiology, the Society for Cardiac Angiography and Interventions, the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology, the American Society of Echocardiography, and the American Medical Association.
