Deborah Heart and Lung Center Announces Appointment of New Vice President, Human Resources

John R. Ernst, President and CEO at Deborah Heart and Lung Center, has announced that Jim Carlino, SPHR, CCP, of Moorestown, has been appointed Vice President, Human Resources – Chief HR Officer. Carlino has been at Deborah since 1993, most recently serving as Director of Human Resources. In this position he has played a pivotal role navigating Deborah through difficult economic times – managing the Center’s personnel with forthrightness, sensitivity, and equitability.

Carlino leads an HR team responsible for employee relations, compensation, benefits, leadership and staff development, policy development and administration, employee health and wellness, and corporate travel. He sits on a number of committees that direct hospital policy and strategy.

Carlino holds an MBA from Widener University and a BS from Rowan University. He has a strong background of continuing education. Included among these are professional certifications as: Senior Professional in Human Resources, Certified Compensation Professional, and Human Resources Metrics Certification.

He is a member of a number of professional organizations including the Board of Directors of the Healthcare Employees Federal Credit Union, the Society for Human Resources Management, the American Society for Healthcare Human Resources Administration, the American College of Healthcare Executives, the Medical Group Management Association, and the Pemberton Township High School School-to-Work Advisory Board.
