Deborah Appoints New Chair of Department of Endovascular Medicine
Also Named As Director of the
Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory
John R. Ernst, President and CEO of Deborah Heart and Lung Center has announced the appointment of Richard C. Kovach, MD, as Chair, Department of Endovascular Medicine and Director, Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory.
For the past two decades, Dr. Kovach has been in private practice in southern New Jersey and had physician privileges at more than half-a-dozen of South Jersey and Pennsylvania’s leading hospitals. Most recently, he was recruited to develop endovascular services at the Guthrie Clinic in Sayre, PA, but soon thereafter decided to return to NJ.

A graduate of Johns Hopkins University, Dr. Kovach subsequently pursued studies in Health Services
Administration at the Johns Hopkins University School of Hygiene andDr. Kovach also formerly served on the staff at Deborah, from 1988 to 1994, making his current appointment a “Welcome Home.”
In addition to his medical experience, Dr. Kovach is also an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Hahnemann University and has been a former Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.
