Deborah’s Nuclear Labs Receives Renewed ICANL Accreditation

Reflects Ongoing Highest Commitment to Patient Care & Diagnostic Quality

The nuclear laboratory at Deborah Heart and Lung Center, a specialty heart, lung, and vascular hospital in Browns Mills, was recently reaccredited by the Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Nuclear Medicine Laboratories (ICANL). This renewed three-year accreditation reflects independent agency review of the lab’s commitment to quality testing for the diagnosis of heart disease.

“This is a reflection of the dedication in Deborah’s nuclear labs for high standards by both our physicians and our technologists,” said Robert Schott, MD, Chair of Deborah’s Cardiology Department, and Medical Director of Nuclear Medicine.

Nuclear cardiology testing procedures are key in detecting cardiovascular disease. Nuclear stress tests are complex imaging procedures and the ICANL reaccreditation underscores Deborah’s staffs’ experience and training and the high level of interpretive and technical abilities that result in diagnostic accuracy of the examination.

“We are thrilled to be recognized again by the ICANL for the high quality of our work,” added Schott. “Our staff here works very hard to maintain the highest professional standards possible.”

The ICANL was established with support of the most respected professional organizations in the cardiology and imaging fields, and signifies adherence to the top-level standard of care recognized by the medical profession.
