John Ernst, President and CEO of Deborah Heart and Lung Center, has announced the appointment of Michael Nolledo, MD of Lawrenceville, as new Director of the Institute of Sleep Medicine. As well, he will serve as an Attending in Deborah’s Pulmonary Department.

Dr. Nolledo joins Deborah from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, Robert Wood Johnson Medical School where he was Assistant Professor of Medicine and the University Medical Center at Princeton, where he has served as a Pulmonary/Critical Care Attending and Teaching Faculty in the Department of Medicine, and as Medical Director of the Sleep Center.

Prior to his time at Princeton Medical Center, Dr. Nolledo was a teaching attending at St. Peter’s University Hospital where he also served as the

Medical Director of the Hospital’s Sleep Center.

Licensed in New Jersey, Dr. Nolledo holds board certifications in internal medicine, pulmonary medicine, critical care medicine, and sleep medicine from both the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Sleep Medicine. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine and a member of the American Thoracic Society.

Dr. Nolledo has been involved in sleep medicine research, and his articles and abstracts have appeared in professional journals, including the American Journal of Respiratory Critical Care Medicine and the Annuals of Internal Medicine.

“I am very excited to have Dr. Nolledo join the Deborah team,” said Andrew Martin, MD, Deborah’s Chair of Pulmonary Medicine. “He and I have been partners in sleep

medicine, as well as pulmonary and intensive care medicine, for ten years, and he brings a wide range of skills with him to our respiratory department. His expertise in successfully managing sleep centers will be a welcome addition to our Institute of Sleep Medicine. We are confident his leadership will enhance the future of this key program here at Deborah.”
