Varicose Veins and Spider Veins
Wether they’re on your thighs,
ankles, or calves, having spider veins on legs is the worst! With their dark color, they are so noticeable to others. However in today’s world this is not
a problem we have to put up with!
At DEBORAH Heart and Lung Center’s Vein Center, there are now spider vein and varicose vein treatments which can virtually eliminate them.
What Are Spider Veins in Legs?

Spider veins, as
unsightly and
embarrassing as they may be, generally pose no real health risk for those who have them. They are actually broken capillaries found just beneath the skin; their name is
derived from the web-like shape they form, and they are frequently red, purple or blue in color.
What Are Varicose Veins?

Varicose veins are
enlarged veins that are swollen and raised above the surface of the skin. They can be dark purple
or blue, and look twisted and
bulging. Varicose
veins are usually found on the backs of the calves
or on the inside of the leg. They develop when valves in
the veins that allow blood to flow toward the heart stop
working properly. Blood pools in the veins
and causes them to get larger.
